POLICE are looking for a conman who tricked a householder to get inside his home by pretending he crashed a car into his fence.
He asked the 46-year-old householder for a pen and paper while an accomplice sneaked into the house near East London’s famous Columbia Road flower market in Bethnal Green and snatched �100.
Police describe the conman, in his mid-20s, as 5ft 10ins tall, with short black hair and an Irish accent.
The householder became suspicious and went back inside, where he discovered the intruder. Both men then ran off.
