Cops hunt raiders in cash snatch on London Tube

TWO raiders are being hunted after a security guard was robbed on the London Underground. One raider sneaked up behind the guard and snatched a cash box in the ticket hall at Bow Road station in East London—then escaped in a waiting getaway car driven by an accomplice

TWO raiders are being hunted after a security guard was robbed on the London Underground.

One raider sneaked up behind the guard and snatched the cash box he was carrying a in the ticket hall at Bow Road station in East London—then fled into the street.

He escaped in a waiting getaway car driven by an accomplice, following the 9am robbery last Saturday.

The security guard gave chase, but the thieves drove off in a silver Ford Mondeo along the A11 Bow Road which was found abandoned nearby shortly after.

Transport Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the snatch or the car speeding along Bow Road on January 3 to contact the Robbery Squad on 0800-405040, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
