POLICE tonight have released this CCTV image of a suspect following a sex attack on a 12-year-old girl in East London.
Detectives want to trace the man caught on camera (pictured) in connection with the assault more than two months ago.
But they weren’t told about it until last month, Scotland Yard said this-evening.
The girl was walking through Victoria Park on March 31 when she was approached by a man and led to a block of flats on Bethnal Green’s Cranbrook Estate in Old Ford Road, close by.
She was taken inside one of the five high-rise blocks and is said to have been sexually assaulted in a communal area.
Officers are now keen to speak to the man seen on camera close to the scene of the incident.
