COPS looking for a dead body came across a cannabis factory instead. Officers broke down the door of a flat in East London after neighbours complained there were lots of flies and a bad smell
COPS looking for a possible dead body in London’s East End came across a cannabis factory instead.
Officers broke down the door of a flat at Bethnal Green’s Ellen Wilkinson House on Monday after neighbours complained there were lots of flies and a bad smell.
But instead of a corpse, cops found hydroponic equipment, cannabis plants and a wasps’ nest.
No one was inside and no arrests have been made. But police and Tower Hamlets council are now trying to find out who lived at the flat.
