Cost of Tower Hamlets Council’s spin doctors revealed

Spin doctors working for Tower Hamlets Council cost the tax-payer almost £70,000 per year, it can be revealed.

Mayor of Tower Hamlets, and the council’s Labour and Conservative groups all have political advisors on the payroll.

Their salaries cost £69,443 between them, a freedom of information request has revealed.

The council insisted it did not employ external political consultants.
