County Hall under construction was a sight for tourists in 1913

Spectators and tourists cram the deck of a Royal Navy poatrol boat on the Thames for a better view of County Hall under construction by Westminster Bridge in 1911...

It is one of a rare collection of 60 photographs from London’s past which goes on show from today (June 30) at the iconic Tower Bridge high walkway. The 60 monochrome gems from the Metropolitan Archive collection go back to the mid-19th century, keeping Londoners in touch with their past. The exhibition runs until September.
