A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after police discovered a passenger carrying this knife on a bus in Tower Hamlets.

An off-duty police officer alerted his colleagues after he noticed the knife fall out of a bag being carried by a passenger on a bus yesterday evening.

Officers from Tower Hamlets Police uploaded the image of the knife on social networking website Twitter and praised their colleague for his bravery.
