A Bethnal Green man has appeared in court charged with stabbing a worker inside a casino in Leicester Square.

Kien Nguyen of Coventry Road, is accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

The 34-year-old was arrested on Tuesday following the attack which took place on Monday evening.

Yesterday he appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody.

He will appear at Southwark Crown Court on July 25.
