Man, 73, arrested by detectives investigating murder in Bow is bailed

A 73-year-old who was arrested by murder detectives investigating the death of a man in Bow has been bailed.

The pensioner was held on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following the death of the man in his 60s, after a fight in Parnell Road.

The victim was found collapsed on the pavement by officers who were called to a fight on the 488 bus which had spilled out on to the street at around 8.45pm on Monday evening.

He was rushed to hospital but died shortly after.

The arrested man has been bailed to return to a police station next month.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the fight on the bus or in Parnell Road to come forward.
