Police appeal over stabbed pensioner in Bow

Police are appealing for witnesses over the stabbing of a pensioner in Bow.

The unprovoked assault saw a 76-year-old man approached by a stranger and suddenly stabbed three times in the stomach with a knife.

The attacker then made off towards Bow Road, while the victim made his way home, but was later treated for his injuries at hospital before being discharged.

The attack took place took place at 7am on May 16 in Fairfield Road.

The suspect is described as black and in his thirties, and was wearing grey trousers and a blue polo shirt.
