Detectives have issued a CCTV image today showing two men they want to question about a stabbing in Bethnal Green.

A 33-year-old man was found with knife wounds when police were called to a shop in Globe Road at 3pm on October 11.

He had wounds in his back and arm and was taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, but the injuries were not life threatening, police confirmed.

“This was a violent, planned attack,” Det Con Ben Stone said. “It was mere luck that the man wasn’t fatally injured.”

Police are urging witnesses who were in Globe Road, off Roman Road, or anyone who can identify the two seen on CCTV, to contact Central East Command on 101, quoting CAD4615/11OCT, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
