Two men assaulted in Shadwell leads to closure of Commercial Road in Shadwell

Police are looking for those responsible for assaulting two men, and possibly stabbing one of them in Shadwell this morning.

Commercial Road was shut in both directions until about 7.20am following the incident in the same street, near the corner of New Road, just before 3am.

The two men, believed to be in their 20s, were both taken to an East London Hospital.

A police spokesman said: “We were called at 2.50am to two men assaulted, one possibly stabbed. Their injuries are not deemed to be life threatening. Enquiries are ongoing to find those responsible.”
