A woman had a suitcase containing an unsual stenograph machine and laptop stolen on Brick Lane.

She was in a clothing store called Rokit and had with her a black pullalong flight bag. As she paused to look at an item she took her hand off of the bag handle, and a short while after she realised the suitcase had been stolen.

The case contained an unusual stenograph machine, a lap top and other items used in the victim’s work as a freelance stenographer, according to police.

The theft occurred on August 18 at 4pm.
