A woman was told to speak English in England before being dragged around by her hair in a "vicious" assault on a tube train.
The 24-year-old was chatting in Spanish to friends while travelling between Liverpool Street and Stratford stations on the Central line at about 3.45am last Saturday (April 7) when two female passengers started shouting at her.
They demanded the woman speak English when in England before launching an attack.
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: “They pulled her around by her hair resulting in injuries to her scalp and cuts to her face.”
She described the women as black with braided hair and in their late twenties. One wore a brown jacket, while the other was in a black jacket.
The spokeswoman added: “We’re appealing for information after this vicious and racially-motivated assault.”
