An uninsured motorist from Mile End has been given a suspended jail sentence for drink driving.
Iftihar Ahmed, 28, of Wager Street, was arrested by police in Orsett, Essex, last December and subsequently charged.
Last week he was given an eight week jail term suspended for 12 months, banned from driving for 46 months and ordered to take part in a rehabilitation programme.
He must also pay a £115 victim surcharge and his licence has been endorsed for driving without insurance.
Ahmed has been named and shamed as part of a Christmas anti-drink and drug driving campaign by Essex Police.
