Police have hailed the success of Operation Fallon, which resulted in five arrests in Brick Lane.
The operation was carried out on Friday August 3, and targeted drink and drug-related disorder and anti-social behaviour in the area.
It incorporated 14 officers stationed in four temporary search trailers near the Truman Brewery, allowing them to search suspects on site.
A total of 33 people were searched during the course of the evening, resulting in five arrests.
Of these arrests, one was for possession of Class A and Class B drugs, two were for possession of Class A drugs, one was for possession of Class A and B drugs, and a final arrest was made for breach of a court order. Another 10 people had cannabis seized and were given warnings.
Chief Superintendent Dave Stringer described the operation as “a busy night with great results.”
