Police today launched an appeal to find a “violent man” who reportedly attacked a stranger he met through a gay dating app.
Anton Ward, 28, is alleged to have punched his victim in the face and head after they arranged a visit at the latter’s flat in Bow.
The victim was not seriously injured.
“Anton Ward is a violent man who may represents a danger to those he meets through social media,” said Det Con Sajid Asghar of Met Police’s Tower Hamlets Community Safety Unit (CSU).
“I would urge anyone who recognises Ward or who knows of his whereabouts to come forward and speak to police.”
