An “extremely violent” man who murdered a fellow party-goer is to be sentenced today.
Salman Ahmed, 23, of no fixed address, was found guilty of fatally stabbing Lamar Stewart after a four week trial.
The Old Bailey heard how police were called to reports of a disturbance at a party in Ropery Street, Bow, in the early hours of September 30 last year.
They found Mr Stewart, 21, from Mitcham suffering from stab injuries, and despite the best efforts of medics and members of the public, he died later in hospital.
Ahmed was arrested just over two months later and charged with murder. He was found guilty on Monday.
