A racist thug who threatened to slice up a father in a doctor’s waiting room in Poplar was jailed for 14 months today (Thursday).

Jamie Isitt, 36, subjected Dulu Miah to a foul-mouthed tirade in front of his five-year-old daughter who was waiting for a flu jab at Chrisp Street Health Centre.

Isitt, of Burcham Street, Poplar, called his victim a “f***ing P***” and a “c***” after he was told to stop kicking the youngster’s chair.

He admitted racially aggravated assault and was jailed at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

The judge, Mr Recorder Nicholas Green QC, told him: “You were clearly out of control and this attack was completely unprovoked.

“In the circumstances a custodial sentence is the only sentence that can be applied, given the seriousness of your offences.”

Isitt – who has more than 120 offences to his name - issued the chilling threat to Mr Miah: “I’m going to slice you up, I will go back to prison again for you, you b*****d.”

Mr Miah was left terrified after Isitt then called a friend saying: “I have got some P**i here in the surgery. Are you guys coming? I’m going to slice him up.”

At the time of the attack, Issit was subject to two concurrent 12-week suspended sentences for assaulting his mother, Christine, in August this year, and stealing 5 of cider from an Esso petrol station in Leamouth.

Alexia Nicol, defending Isitt, said he had battled with a serious drug and drink addiction, during which he drank up to 15 cans of beer each day.

“He is trying to move away from a lifestyle of offending to fund his habit,” she added.

“He very much regrets his behaviour on the day.”

Isitt admitted racially aggravated assault and breaching two suspended sentences.
