A drugs raid led to the seizure of £25,000 worth of cocaine and the arrest of a 54-year-old man on suspicion of being concerned with its import.
Officers acting under a search warrant raided a property in Tent Street, Bethnal Green also seized Class B drugs during the operation last Wednesday.
PC Richard Roberts, of the Metropolitan Police, said: “Protagonists in the supply of drugs in Tower Hamlets and those seen bringing drugs to the streets as a viable career option will only end up experiencing first hand our zero tolerance approach.’’
The operation was carried out under the Partnership Taskforce between police and Tower Hamlets Council.
The suspect was bailed to return to Bethnal Green police station on September 9.
