POLICE hunting for stolen bikes on the Isle of Dogs also seized a large quantity of cannabis.
Officers from Millwall Safer Neighbourhoods team discovered 110 wraps of cannabis at Hammond House in Tiller Street and also found 18 bikes, which they suspect were stolen, during searches of the area on Bonfire Night.
A 20-year-old man was also arrested in Westferry Road and was cautioned for possession of cannabis, a class B drug.
Sgt Alex Burzotta, from Millwall Safer Neighbourhoods team said: “We continue to act on any information regarding drug misuse so that positive action can be taken to deal with quality of life issues that local residents highlight to us.
“We often have difficulty identifying stolen bikes as many have not been registered. We have been contacting victims of bike thefts to attend the police station to see if they can identify their bikes. We aim to return as many as possible.”
