Crime victims are being offered extra support this Christmas as trained staff give up their time to help anyone affected.
Staff and volunteers at national charity Victim Support will be on the other end of the phone throughout the festive period in Tower Hamlets to give a helping hand to people who suffer the consequences of crime.
Divisional manger for north east London Jan Scott said: “Sadly, people still become victims of crime over the festive period, but they should not suffer in silence.
“Our dedicated staff and volunteers give up their time over the festive period to help people move on with their lives.”
Lines will be open everyday except Christmas Day and New Years Day between Saturday December 22 and Wednesday January 2, before returning to its usual hours. Victims in Tower Hamlets can call 0845 450 3936 for advice and support.
