Police carried out raids on six addressess in Tower Hamlets yesterday afternoon as part of a London-wide crackdown on gang crime.

Six arrests were made for drug offences from the raids, carried out by 24 officers.

A further five arrests were made for offences relating to money laundering and burglary. Seven of the suspects were charged, with the remainder released on bail or still in custody.

Acting Borough Commander Supt Robert Revill said: “The results from Tower Hamlets activity yesterday shows our commitment to the Met-wide crack down on gang crime.”
