A man who escaped from a Suffolk prison where he was serving an eight year sentence for robbery has been arrested in Tower Hamlets.
Jerry Monerville, 49, was picked up by Met police at an address in the borough on April 22 and is being held in custody in London.
Monerville was given leave to go to an address in London on Tuesday night and was due to return to Hollesley Bay prison by 3:30pm four days later.
However, he failed to show up and was reported as missing to police.
Police say Monerville has connections to Tower Hamlets and Herne Bay in Kent.
