A man has been charged with threatening behaviour after a paramedic was verbally abused her when an ambulance got a flat tyre on the Isle of Dogs.
She was also thrown a note saying her vehicle “will be smashed” if parked in the “private space” again.
Motin Miah, 38, of Westerry Road, was charged with a public order offence yesterday.
He was bailed to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Friday, June 1.
The medic was part of team called to the street at about 10.30pm on Tuesday to treat a cardiac arrest patient.
After taking the patient to hospital, she returned to Westferry Road and parking up due to the flat tyre.
“While waiting for recovery a male approached and was verbally abusive to her and threw that note at her,” a police spokeswoman said.
London Ambulance Service assistant director of operations Natasha Wills added: “It is never acceptable for our crews to be verbally or physically abused or assaulted.”
