Grzegorz Kosiec killed architecture student Karolina Chwiluk as she visited friends at a flat in Dora Street on May 4.

The 20-year-old suffered multiple knife wounds at the hands of the labourer, who also attacked two other people.

At an earlier Old Bailey hearing, the defendant had admitted manslaughter.

He returned to court today and pleaded guilty to murder.

He also admitted wounding Dawid Czerwiwski, 24, and Monika Fijak, 42, but denied intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Kosiec, who also lived in Dora Street, had been due to stand trial on October 30, but prosecutor Tom Kark QC accepted the pleas and said Karolina’s family were also content.

Judge Mark Lucraft QC adjourned sentencing of Kosiec, who was remanded in custordy, until October 27.
