An alleged sex attacker dangled a young woman over a tenth floor balcony and told her: “If I cannot have you then we are both going to die together.”

Mohammed Hoque, 27, abducted his alleged victim as she came home from work and dragged her through a park in Poplar, east London, jurors heard.

The screaming woman desperately kicked out in an a bid to escape Hoque’s grip but he took her to Balfron Tower, a nearby block of flats, Snaresbrook Crown Court heard.

Jonathan Davies, prosecuting, said: “He took her inside the block of flats and took her to the lift and up to the tenth floor.

“He pushed her on to the communal balcony and said ‘If I cannot have you then we are both going to die together.’

“He held her over the balcony. She was screaming and was very scared. He then told her he wanted to have sex with her...and he put his hand into her underwear.

“She managed to push him away to prevent him from doing any more. The woman then had a panic attack and this brought Mr Hoque to his senses and he told police at this point he too had a panic attack.”

Hoque then allowed the woman to go home and police were called after the incident on May 9 last year.

He later told police she was ‘comfy’ with what he was doing to her.

Mr Davies added: “He said she was comfy with that when he put his hands down her knickers.”

Hoque, of Blount Street, Limehouse, denied kidnap, assault by penetration and making threats to kill.

The trial continues.
