Officers have seized a bottle filled with a ‘noxious substance’ following a police chase in Tower Hamlets last night.
The liquid which could be used in an ‘acid attack’ was found in the bottle of Robinson fruit squash alongside a quantity of drugs.
A man has been arrested for possession of a noxious substance and supply of class A and B drugs following the find just after 10pm.
Tower Hamlets Police uploaded images of their find on social networking website Twitter.
The find comes the day after Conservative and Labour MPs added weight to calls for the government to get tough on acid attacks.
