A Canary Wharf financial services worker is fighting for her life in an unprovoked hammer attack.
Ania Gos, who works for S&P Global, and her mother were attacked in Adderley Gardens, New Eltham, on Sunday.
Both women, aged 30 and 64, were found with injuries police described as “consistent with a violent assault” and are in a critical condition. A hammer was recovered from the scene.
In a statement, S&P Global said: “We are extremely shocked and saddened by the senseless attack on one of our employees, Ania Gos, and her mother on Sunday afternoon.
“Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to their family and friends.”

Ms Gos’s 64-year-old mother was visiting from Poland when she was attacked, neighbours said.
Retired TV engineer Bob Gover described Ms Gos as one half of a “very nice couple” who have lived in the flat for “a couple of years”.
He said that he heard a scream outside the window of his flat as a passer-by saw the badly injured victims.
“I heard a bit of a commotion, I looked outside and there was about half a dozen people out there,” the 69-year-old said.
“I went out there and I saw blood on the face of one of them and I knew something had happened so I ran inside and phoned for an ambulance.
“One of them was moving at the time and sitting in an upright position with somebody holding her up, while the other one was laying down.
“They were both covered in blood.”
