They have released pictures of Danny Walker, 32, and Gavin Allen, 30, and are appealing to the public for information on their whereabouts.

Officers are urging the public not to approach the two men but to call police on 999 if they are seen or if anyone knows of their whereabouts.

It is possible that Allen may have travelled abroad but officers are still keen to hear from anyone with information about this.

A murder investigation was launched after Hassan was shot at an event at the Avalon nightclub, Shaftesbury Avenue, at around 3am on December 26 2013.

Police and London Ambulance Service attended to find him suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken by London Ambulance Service to hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Hassan, who was also known as Big H, was 31 and from Poplar.

A post-mortem examination at Westminster Mortuary gave the cause of death as multiple gun shot wounds.

In addition to the appeal to trace the two named men, detectives also want to hear from anyone who was inside the Avalon nightclub at the event, or who witnessed events inside the club, to contact them.

Anyone with information on the two men sought or anyone who witnessed the shooting should call the incident room on 020 8345 3985 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Two men, a 31-year-old and a 34-year-old, have already been arrested on suspicion of murder and have been bailed until a date in mid- February pending further inquiries.

On January 3 a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at an east London police station.
