A “heavily intoxicated” man had to be escorted back to his home in west London by police after climbing over an eight foot gate in the middle of the night.
A crew from Bethnal Green fire station attended after police received calls from concerned residents to a building in Sale Street at 2.18am last night.
But by the time police and fire crews arrived at the scene the 23-year-old had managed to climb back over to the right side of the gate again.
He was uninjured, and was taken back his home in west London by police. No arrests were made.
It is unclear why the man decided to scale the gate.
