Police have released CCTV footage of man they would like to speak to in connection with a vicious attack outside a bar in Shoreditch.
A 26-year-old man was outside the Be @ One Bar in Old Street, Shoreditch, when his attacker suddenly punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground and kicking him in the face.
The suspect then headed east along Old Street towards Shoreditch Church, following the attack at around 1.45am on Sunday, October 8.
His victim was taken by ambulance to the Royal London Hospital where he was treated for a broken nose, fractured eye socket and broken tooth, while his vision remains affected.
“This was a completely unjustified attack on an innocent man,” Det Con Vicki Henderson said. “The suspect is clearly a dangerous individual who needs to be apprehended.”
The attacker, wearing a dark blue shirt and black bomber jacket, is described as black, medium build with short dark hair, seen in the bar with a group of men and women shortly before.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to call 07825 793212 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
