Police have issued E-fit pictures today of two suspects following a 1,000 cash hold-up in a street market in London’s East End.
They are stepping up their three-week hunt for the men who robbed a van driver in Shadwell’s Watney Street market at knifepoint on March 30 at about 9.30am.
The 56-year-old driver was in his white VW parked on the market service road when the raiders got in and robbed him.
The thieves made off in a blue Ford Focus into Commercial Road. One is described as black, the other white, both in their late 20s and both dressed in black.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in Watney Street Market at 9.30am on March 30 or recognises the men’s E-fit pictures to contact Limehouse police station on 020-7275 4772, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555111.
