Police found a gun and a cannabis farm after a successful raid which led to the arrest of a 28-year-old man.
Officers from Blackwall and Cubitt Town Safer Neighbourhood Teams uncovered what is believed to be a real firearm and ammunition along with cannabis plants and hydroponic equipment after carrying out a search warrant.
The raid on the Isle of Dogs home yesterday (June 18) led to the arrest of a man on suspicion of possessing a firearm and other offensive weapons as well as cultivating cannabis.
Local information and intelligence gathering in relation to the alleged dealing of drugs from the home enabled officers to gain a search warrant as part of Operation Hawk.
The man remains in custody.
