Police have released CCTV footage today of a burglary at business premises and student accommodation as part of their investigation.
The released footage shows a slim short-haired black man, about 5ft 8ins tall with a black beard walking into a café on the ground floor of Nido Tower at Frying Pan Alley, a back turning in Spitalfields near Petticoat Lane at around 8.15pm on September 9.
The intruder, dressed in a black and white camouflage vest with dark trousers, took the cash till and walked off with it in hand.
He later returned and, when challenged, said he was from head office before continuing to look around. He was then told to leave.
