TOWER Hamlets police will hold crime prevention days in the build-up to the festive period.
Officers from the Mile End East Safer Neighbourhoods team will advise people on crime prevention and hand out UV property markers from 4pm to 6pm at Mile End underground station on December 13 and Bow Road underground station on December 14.
Police cadet officers will also offer breath tests to the public as part of the Drink Drive, Too Young To Die campaign at Mile End station from 5pm to 9pm on December 15 and 16.
On December 18, officers will travel on public transport, including bus routes from Bow to Whitechapel, distributing crime prevention leaflets and personal safety alarms.
Officers visited Shaftesbury Lodge in Upper North Street on November 30 to make arrangements with elderly residents to escort them to pick up Christmas pension payouts.
