Police are renewing appeals for witnesses this week to a robbery when a 74-year-old man was knocked to the ground and had jewelry snatched.
The pensioner needed treatment for head injuries after the evening attack at Rosebank Gardens, behind Roman Road Market in Bow, on November 20.
He was attacked from behind after getting out of his car and had his rings stolen by the thug who ran off down an alley towards St Stephen’s Road.
The attacker is described as black, about 6ft tall, stocky build, wearing dark clothing.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in Rosebanks Gardens at 8.20pm on that Sunday evening, or has information, to contact the Robbery Squad on 020-8217 7567, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111.
