A drug dealer from Poplar who hid 114 wraps of cocaine and heroin in his bottom has been jailed for 34 months.
Terrence Dufeal, 21, of Teviot Street, was caught by officers when they became suspicious of a silver BMW in Basildon while on patrol in April.
Dufeal, who was driving, refused to open his mouth when they stopped him. It is believed he’d swallowed the drugs he was about to deal.
When officers searched the car, they found phones, vaseline and toilet roll.
When he was taken into custody, it was clear Dufeal had concealed the wraps in his bottom – a practice known as plugging. He refused to eat or go to the toilet, but the next day, passed 114 wraps of heroin and cocaine.
At Basildon Crown Court last Wednesday, he pleaded guilty to two counts of offering to supply a Class A and one count of failing to disclose information to make a gain.
Investigating officer, PC Dan Onley, said: “People have some misguided misconception that drug dealing is glamorous – it absolutely isn’t.

“Dealers will plumb too many depths, including carrying out disgusting and dangerous practices such as plugging to avoid capture by police.
