Police have issued an image of Wayne Stockdale who died yesterday after suffering multiple gunshot wounds in Bromley-by-Bow on Friday night.
The 42-year-old, from Poplar, died in the Royal London Hospital at 12.50pm from his injuries after he was shot in the head while riding a bike in Rounton Road.
Police are hunting two suspects, described as black or Asian and wearing face coverings, who fired at Mr Stockdale and into the street with handguns.
They made off towards Knapp Road and got into a car.
A post-mortem examination will be held at Poplar mortuary at 2pm tomorrow.
