A CHARITY which works with the homeless is urging companies to support its work by sending video e cards rather than Christmas cards this year.

Crisis which is based in Commercial Street in Whitechapel said the scheme helps cut companies costs. It said by supporting the charity firms can also help boost its year-round work and festive fortnight at its Crisis Christmas which offers food, essential services and accommodation for the capital's homeless at centres across London.

Further details of how companies can get involved are available at www.crisis.org.uk/christmascard
