A HOMELESS charity is calling for help in spreading some festive cheer over Christmas.
Crisis, based in Commercial Street in Whitechapel, is appealing for volunteers to help run nine temporary shelters across the capital which provide food, accommodation and healthcare to thousands of homeless people over the Christmas period.
Organisers are particularly looking for qualified or trainee counsellors and therapists,
optometrists, dispensing opticians, optical receptionists and optical assistants as well as those over 25 years old who are happy to drive around central London.
There are also volunteers needed to distribute clothes and for date entry who will be based in the Whitechapel centre and liaising with the shelters from Wednesday December 23 to Wednesday December 30.
