A breaking of the fast event saw more than 450 people flock to celebrate the Muslim holy festival of Ramadan.

The Iftar event saw representatives from a range of faiths come together in a bid to build bonds and improve understandingacross different religions.

Tower Hamlets Council’s Labour group leader Cllr Sirajul Islam was among the guests at the Waterlily in Mile End Road for the celebrations on July 23.
