KIDS are learning to ride bikes in London's East End even though they might not own their own cycle.
The new Tower Hamlets Cycling Club set up last year is training youngsters in the wide open spaces of Victoria Park where it's safe to practice.
The club has just landed a community project grant which is paying for the tuition sessions and for bikes to practice on.
The club's coach Lakhdar Djelloul who was delighted with the cash couldn't wait to get the kids getting used to two-wheeling (pictured).
"This grant means we can offer more sessions and have 10 new bikes to lend out," she said. "Everyone can enjoy the East End's cycle paths and greenways."
The club has also started sessions for adults and people without their own bikes which also include tips on maintenance and advice on buying your own machine.
Sessions are running until February and wannabe cyclists can email here or call 079616-49463 to book up.
