A 31-year-old cyclist has died a week after his bike was involved in a collision with an HGV lorry in Bethnal Green Road.
Sofoklis Kostoulas, who lived in Bow, was rushed to hospital following the collision at 6.50am on October 29, but he died yesterday (Tuesday, November 6).
A post mortem is scheduled to take place tomorrow (Thursday) and an inquest will be opened and adjourned to take place at a later date.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to contact the Road Death Investigation Unit on 0208 597 4874 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
• The HGV driver, a 46 year old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of careless driving. He was bailed to return to police in February 2013 pending further inquires.
