CYCLISTS are gathering in East London this-evening to lay flowers and ride together in memory of charity worker Shivon Watson who died in a collision with a lorry early this month.
Shivon died after the colliding with a tipper truck at the roundabout junction of Victoria Park Road and Lauriston Road, just north of Victoria Park, in the morning rush-hour on March 10.
The 28-year-old from Campbell Road in Bow, who was on her way to Hackney's Fairbridge youth charity where she worked, was trapped between the lorry and railings as they both turned left.
Two cycle groups, Tower Hamlets Wheelers and Hackney Cyclists, meet to lay flowers at 8.15pm in memory of Shivon, also well-known in East London as a singer and fashion designer.
They are planning a commemorative ride starting at Hackney City Farm in Goldsmiths Row, off Hackney Road, at 6.30pm to finish at the Royal Inn on the Park in Grove Road, stopping at 8.15 to lay flowers at the roundabout.
