DADS who care for the under fives are being encouraged to read with them at new Saturday morning events at Bethnal Green Library.
The new free fortnightly sessions start on Saturday (May 1) from 10.30am to 11.30am and follow suggestions from parents who thought it would be a good time for dads and male carers to bring young readers to the library.
Activities will include nursery rhymes, story telling and play time and will also give the dads and carers a chance to chat and their children enjoy listening to entertaining tales.
The library in Cambridge Heath Road already runs under 5s Rhyme Time from 10.30am to 11.30am on Monday and Thursday mornings which typically attract more mums than dads.
