POLICE have seized two pit-bull type dogs from a home in Bow after residents raised the alarm.

A 30 year-old man was arrested last Friday for offences under the Dangerous Dog Act. He was bailed until January pending further enquiries.

Another pit bull type dog was also seized last month in a separate raid following complaints from residents of drug misuse and dealing at a home in Bethnal Green.

Weavers Safer Neighbourhood Team arrested a woman on suspicion of possession of class A drugs and seized the dog under the dangerous dogs act.

PC Rowlands from the Weavers team urged residents to continue to "feed" information on tackle crime.
