Experienced forward has contract terminated by mutual consent despite having two years left to run
Leyton Orient have confirmed that they have come to an agreement with forward Darius Henderson to mutually end his contract early.
The 33-year-old moved to Brisbane Road last summer signing a three-year deal under then manager Russell Slade and was expected to spearhead O’s charge towards promotion.
However things didn’t turn out like that and the former Nottingham Forest striker endured a frustrating season with injuries restricting his availability.
In total he made 25 appearances for the club and scored eight goals, but was unable to prevent them avoiding relegation to League Two.
