Death of man inside crane cabin in Bow “non-suspicious”

The death of a man who collapsed inside a cabin crane is being treated as non-suspicious by police.
Firefighters were at the building site in Vernon Road, Bow, yesterday morning, as they assisted medics in reaching the man trapped inside the cabin, a 120 feet up in the air.
But the man, who has yet to be named, was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is understood next of kin have been informed.
According to a coroner’s officer a post-mortem has shown that he died from natural causes and that he may have had a heart condition.
A date for an inquest is yet to be set.
