Serco Docklands are showing their support to the British Tour de France riders by transforming the image of two Docklands Light Railway trains.
On Monday, July 7, the world’s biggest cycling race will travel through Tower Hamlets before heading across the Channel for its 101st year.
The first train was revealed to be a vibrant yellow connoting the Tour’s famous jersey with ‘Va Va Froome’ written on the side to both support and encourage defending champion Chris Froome.
The second DLR train is decorated green, with ‘Allez Cav’ on the side in support of home favourite Mark Cavendish.
Rory O’Neill, Transport for London’s director for DLR, said: “The return of the Tour de France to London is tremendously exciting and the DLR will be doing its bit on the day to ferry people around to see the world’s greatest cycling race.
“What better way to follow the peloton than by catching a ride on one of these eye-catching trains in the Tour’s iconic colours?”
